The Story
The Oakland Stompers played at the Alameda County Coliseum in 1978 before eventually folding in that same year. Even though the Oakland Stompers were a strong team in the 1978 season, it wasn't enough to keep the white and blue in Oakland. With players like Volker Fass & Geoff Wegerle donning the white and blue in Oakland, the Oakland Stompers should have been able to fill seats. The reality however was much different and with low attendance, the Oakland Stompers soon folded and became no more.
