The Story
The Washington Whips played at District of Columbia Stadium from 1967 to 1968 before eventually folding in 1968. Even though the Washington Whips were a strong team in the 1967 season, it wasn't enough to keep the white and red in Washington D.C. With players like Jimmy Smith & Dave Johnston donning the white and red in Washington D.C., the Washington Whips should have been able to fill seats. The reality however was much different and with low attendance, the Washington Whips soon folded and became no more.
