The Story
The Edmonton Drillers played at Commonwealth Stadium from 1979 to 1982 before eventually folding in 1982. Even though the Edmonton Drillers were a strong team in the 1979 season, it wasn't enough to keep the orange and white in Edmonton. With players like Paul Roe & Derek Evans donning the orange and white in Edmonton, the Edmonton Drillers should have been able to fill seats. The reality however was much different and with low attendance, the Edmonton Drillers soon folded and became no more.
