The Story
Built in 1903, Harvard Stadium is the nation’s first stadium built for college football. A horseshoe containing architectural elements of a Greek stadium and Roman circus, it's considered an engineering marvel, as it was the world’s first massive reinforced concrete structure and the first large permanent arena for American college athletics.
