The Story
With the likes of Cliff Hagan gracing the court for the Dallas it's a shame they didn't make it to the big show. Dallas Chaparrals played in Dallas Memorial Auditorium from 1967 to 1973 before eventually folding and moving operations to San Antonio in 1973 to become the Spurs. When the ABA and NBA merged in 1976 the Spurs were just 1 of 6 teams welcomes into the league and the legend of the Dallas Chaparrals was retired to the rafters of Basketballs past glory.
