The Story
The Toronto Metros played at Varsity Stadium from 1971 to 1984 before eventually folding in 1984. Even though the Toronto Metros were a strong team in the 1973 NASL season it wasn't enough to keep the red and blue in Toronto. With players like David Henderson & Peter Roe donning the red and blue in Toronto, the Toronto Metros should have been able to fill seats. The reality however what much different and with low attendance, the Toronto Metros soon folded and became no more.
