The Story
The famed Whalers franchise was created in November 1971 when the World Hockey Association awarded a franchise to an ownership group in Boston. Bolstered by a mostly American roster (very unusual for that era), the Whalers cruised to a WHA championship in their first season.
Despite their success, the team was fourth priority at their home Boston Garden behind the NHL Bruins, NBA Celtics and even the AHL Braves. Fed up with the treatment, the owners decided to move the team to Hartford (who just opened up a brand new Civic Center) becoming the Hartford Whalers.
Crafted with the intention of being the softest shirt in your lineup, our signature tees are made with premium airlume (for softness) and ringspun (for durability) cotton combined with poly to make the perfect tee👌 that wears and feels like a well-worn favorite. Our garments are printed with inks that actually blend into the fabric giving it more character and true vintage look with every wash.
