The Story
Once upon a time, Off-Track Betting, or OTB, was NYC’s legal bookie as a place to collect horse racing bets. Founded as a Public Benefit Corporation in the 1960’s whose proceeds were meant to help fund the city’s schools, hospitals, and first responders, OTB, at it’s height, had over 100 storefront betting parlors, becoming a fixture of NYC’s street culture before it was shuttered in 2010. Taking cues from the ads OTB used to run with celebrities like Frank Sinatra and Rodney Dangerfield, we recreated the beautiful “NY Bets” script on our classic sweatshirt.
Our plush, fleece-lined crewneck sweatshirt has a soft hand-feel and features premium athletic details like a v-notch at the collar, ribbed cuffs and waistband, and our signature logo patch on the sleeve. This classic go-to sweatshirt is sleek enough to layer under a jacket, yet warm enough to fly solo.
